I have worked in executive search since 2003, specialising in banking and, since 2014, financial technology. Alongside my property advisory work, I continue to receive enquiries from longstanding clients and new introductions through their referrals.
The Executive Office is the executive search division of The Iberian Office. I take on selected assignments where my experience and relationships can make a meaningful contribution, working directly with the client throughout.
That might mean helping a bank appoint a business leader, or working with a fintech founder to build the team for the next stage of growth. My experience covers individual senior appointments and international team builds, from established institutions to businesses raising Series A and B funding.

The value lies in the detail and the quality of the questions. I work with you to understand the business, the reason for the hire and what success will look like. For founders, that includes how the role will evolve as the business grows.
Each search starts with a fresh view of the market: who does this today, and who could bring relevant experience from elsewhere? Direct research and longstanding relationships produce a considered longlist, reaching people who may have little reason to respond to an advertised role.
I assess experience, motivation and suitability, supported by informed market checks. The shortlist comes with thorough appraisals and clear advice on each candidate. The research also gives you useful intelligence on the market and how prospective candidates see the opportunity.
I manage the dialogue on both sides, keeping you and the candidates informed through interviews and offer negotiations. Understanding the reasons for a move helps address concerns early. My involvement continues after the person joins, with follow-up on how the appointment is settling in.
EXPERIENCE & REACH
Before establishing The Executive Office, I co-founded Burns Brightiff Consulting in 2012, following earlier roles at firms including Odgers, Ray & Berndtson and the Rose Partnership. My experience includes corporate and transaction banking team builds, senior commercial appointments for growing fintechs, and leadership searches across international markets.
